Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5514, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enzo Hotz started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Elida's zone, Osvaldo Fanuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Beti came out of the goal and Osvaldo Fanuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Fanuco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Beti was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Tomas Misael was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, Elida's Erubiel Ignatius got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ceferino Niva. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elida's goalkeeper Leon Beti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Benito Avellaneda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Fanuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo Fanuco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 played minutes Elida got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Pagomari. In the 30th minute Osvaldo Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Beti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ceferino Niva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Everardo Pagomari went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Leon Beti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Fanuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Beti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Fanuco's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Hanot in the 46th minute of play forced Elida's goalkeeper Leon Beti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Octavio Endira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Beti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldo Fanuco made a kick off. Racing Club's Osvaldo Fanuco got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 53 minutes, Orlando Hanot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Hanot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Osvaldo Fanuco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Fanuco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Beti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldo Fanuco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leon Beti having to make a save. Constantino Escobar's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. Osvaldo Fanuco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leon Beti having to make a save. Leon Beti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Fanuco in the 73rd minute of the match. Osvaldo Fanuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Leon Beti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Hotz in the 79th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Ceferino Niva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everardo Pagomari hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Elida's Leon Beti got control of the ball when Osvaldo Fanuco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leon Beti had great luck who in the 89thth minute grab hold of the ball when Osvaldo Fanuco from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Leon Beti was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Luis Frascuelo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luis Frascuelo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Racing Club's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Elida had won, even though Racing Club had held more of the ball.
