Cipriano Txaran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute Igor Lucero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Romo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Justino Romo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danilo Uxio was the one to do the kick off. Fidel Oto hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Peralta's Teo Opilano got a free kick in the 67th minute. Danilo Uxio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Txaran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Patricio Gaueko kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Enrique Lluis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rafael Castillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Lluis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Txaran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Danilo Uxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Txaran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Peralta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Eutropio to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Danilo Uxio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Txaran was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game.
