In the 23rd minute, Şansal Dalga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvestre Chano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ruben Orlondon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvestre Chano having to make a save. In the 33rd minute James Madison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Chano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Club San Martin de Salta got a corner. Yapeyú FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eriberto Abraão ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şansal Dalga in the 61st minute of play forced Yapeyú FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Chano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes, James Madison made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Yapeyú FC's Silvestre Chano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Yapeyú FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Pascual Garaile hit a great ball. Ramiro Raymundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Seber in the 68th minute of play. Yapeyú FC's Silvestre Chano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Madison in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Angelo Chinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yapeyú FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club San Martin de Salta the free kick. Angelo Chinto kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Club San Martin de Salta's Eriberto Abraão broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. When the final whistle sounded Club San Martin de Salta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Yapeyú FC.
