Ranquilón's Alfredo Froila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Ranquilón from getting a goal against them. In the 10th match minute, Ranquilón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Romano to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Miro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredo Froila came out and tried to block the shot, but Jairo Miro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. The supporters of Médano FC booed when Ranquilón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Romano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Gonchan might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Froila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Gonchan ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the game, Yulian Borachev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranquilón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Médano FC the free kick. Yulian Borachev kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Osvaldo Gonchan's late challenge caught a Ranquilón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Gonchan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Osvaldo Gonchan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Silban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Mogel, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Osvaldo Gonchan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 24thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Alfredo Froila would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Alfredo Froila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Oro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st match minute, Médano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Ignado to maneuver through the defense. Ranquilón's Franco Spada quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gabriel Aurken, made in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 38th minute Jairo Miro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Froila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Silban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Erramu in the 39th minute of play. Horacio Oro kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Mogel in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Silban saved Médano FC from getting behind. A collision led to Ranquilón getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Anibal Erramu hit a great ball. Jairo Miro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alfredo Froila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Miro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Mogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ricardo Silban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Peio kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Jairo Miro took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Froila. Alfredo Froila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Franco Spada hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Ranquilón's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Oro came free, but Alfredo Froila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Peio in the 67th minute of play forced Ranquilón's goalkeeper Alfredo Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Peio took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Froila. Alfredo Froila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Ranquilón's Alfredo Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Gonchan in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Miro in the 90th minute of play forced Ranquilón's goalkeeper Alfredo Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jacinto Mogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Médano FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
