In the 9th match minute, Quijano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Urritz to maneuver through the defense. Matias Gutierrez came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cieneguita PQ's Octavio Rik. But to his dismay, Octavio Rik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, Octavio Rik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cieneguita PQ's Faustino Guillen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Cieneguita PQ from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Quijano FC booed when Cieneguita PQ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Viera didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Nereo Etxeberri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quijano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Etxeberri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustino Guillen made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Prospero Frans sent off a good shot on target. Octavio Rik took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matias Gutierrez. Matias Gutierrez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Quijano FC booed when Cieneguita PQ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Rik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cieneguita PQ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! David Fresco scored 1-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Gutierrez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Quijano FC booed when Cieneguita PQ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Raitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustino Guillen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Urritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Cieneguita PQ were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Urritz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Etxeberri in the 53rd minute of play forced Cieneguita PQ's goalkeeper Faustino Guillen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quijano FC's zone, Haroldo Artal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Gutierrez came out of the goal and Haroldo Artal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustino Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Etxeberri, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Cieneguita PQ's Patrick Viera got a free kick in the 61st minute. Octavio Rik fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 65th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 73rd minute when Octavio Rik was dribbling his way through Quijano FC's defense he got a clear chance for a shot, but the shot went just outside the left post. A collision led to Quijano FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Prospero Frans hit a great ball. Faustino Guillen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Etxeberri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nereo Etxeberri in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustino Guillen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cieneguita PQ's goalkeeper Faustino Guillen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
