A long shot from Haroldo Artal in the 12th minute of play was well struck, but Erasto Cañaveral made a really good save at the right post. After 16 played minutes Cieneguita PQ got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Tonete. Gustavo Pere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Rik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasto Cañaveral having to make a save. Faustino Guillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Noe in the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavio Rik made a kick off. Gustavo Pere charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Pere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute Octavio Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasto Cañaveral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Noe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Faustino Guillen made a huge save. Gustavo Pere came free in the 69th minute and tried to tip the ball over Faustino Guillen, but to the joy of Cieneguita PQ's supporters the ball went over. Retiro Deportivo's Leon Javiero suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Cieneguita PQ getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Carlos Tonete hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Angel Noe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retiro Deportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Noe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute of the game Carlos Bilintx made a throw-in which Mauro Oriche played forward. Bruno Raitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Erasto Cañaveral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Carlos Bilintx in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cieneguita PQ's Carlos Tonete.
