Spectators: 7247 (Terracing: 5546, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Armando Urritz started the match with the kick off. When Nereo Etxeberri came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Quijano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Etxeberri couldn't finish the play. Armando Urritz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute Nereo Etxeberri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasto Cañaveral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Angel Noe took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Matias Gutierrez to make any attempt to save it. Prospero Frans struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Erasto Cañaveral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quijano FC. 22 minutes into the match, Retiro Deportivo's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Urritz came free, but Erasto Cañaveral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Ortle took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erasto Cañaveral. Erasto Cañaveral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Retiro Deportivo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Carlos Bilintx hit a great ball. Nereo Etxeberri struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Erasto Cañaveral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quijano FC. In the 36th minute Armando Urritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasto Cañaveral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Nereo Etxeberri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Nereo Etxeberri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quijano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Etxeberri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasto Cañaveral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angel Noe to make the kick off. Nereo Etxeberri kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 55thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Retiro Deportivo's keeper Erasto Cañaveral was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nereo Etxeberri got free with Erasto Cañaveral in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Omar Laurendi charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Laurendi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Urritz in the 68th minute of play forced Retiro Deportivo's goalkeeper Erasto Cañaveral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quijano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Pere was slow to take the kick. During this time Retiro Deportivo's players had a chance to rest. Armando Urritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Erasto Cañaveral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Retiro Deportivo's goalkeeper Erasto Cañaveral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prospero Frans. Herminio Crescencio lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The Retiro Deportivo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Quijano FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
