Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felipe Baleren started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Roque Baumer suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 3rd match minute, San Lorenzo de Haedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Bordat to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute Norberto Gombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Bordat in the 7th minute of play forced Segunda Sur's goalkeeper Hugo Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Ariel Bordat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Calvino. Segunda Sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Bordat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gaspar Geofredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Astudillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfredo Maore hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Felipe Baleren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hugo Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Baleren in the 28th minute of the match. Ariel Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Hugo Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Segunda Sur's Gaspar Astudillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Geofredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Denis Arano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gaspar Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Maore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaspar Geofredo having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Norberto Gombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Gombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gaspar Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Geofredo was a little too slow when Norberto Gombal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto Gombal to make the kick off. Gaspar Astudillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gaspar Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Maore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. San Lorenzo de Haedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Segunda Sur the free kick. 64 minutes into the match, Segunda Sur's Wilfredo Maore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Geofredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casimiro Arias got free with Hugo Calvino in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavio Orzaize came free in the 75th minute and tried to tip the ball over Gaspar Geofredo, but to the joy of San Lorenzo de Haedo's supporters the ball went over. Wilfredo Maore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Geofredo having to interfere. In the 79th minute Octavio Orzaize shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Segunda Sur's Wilfredo Maore got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Denis Arano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Segunda Sur booed when San Lorenzo de Haedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
