Hugo Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Aguirre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Santio in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, FC Nankatsu's Teofilo Aguirre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Calvino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th match minute, Segunda Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Gombal to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Santio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Calvino having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With a little luck, Segunda Sur's Hugo Calvino got control of the ball when Pastor Serafo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute Juan Santio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Eduardo Ramirez could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Hugo Calvino however easily saved by the left post. In the 72nd minute, FC Nankatsu's Pastor Serafo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hugo Calvino. Hugo Calvino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After 76 played minutes FC Nankatsu got a freekick which was hit by Juan Santio. Fernando Gipuzkoa's late challenge caught a FC Nankatsu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Gipuzkoa helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Segunda Sur got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Gipuzkoa. Jose Salomone struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Hugo Calvino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Nankatsu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Santio in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Calvino saved Segunda Sur from getting behind. The FC Nankatsu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Nankatsu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
