Spectators: 7181 (Terracing: 5496, Seating: 1685, VIP seats: 0) Maco's Isidro Ruy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Ruy in the 7th minute of play forced Frías FC's goalkeeper Cosme Euloxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Frías FC's Gilberto Baleren got a free kick in the 7th minute. Frías FC were furious when Dionisio Matxin was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Frías FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! In the 14th match minute, Maco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Lope to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermengildo Pio in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saul Pirro saved Maco from getting behind. Gilberto Baleren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 23 minutes of play, Frías FC's Gilberto Baleren made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saul Pirro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Maco's Isidro Ruy in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Frías FC's goalie prevented a goal. Frías FC's Paolo Estevez got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidro Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cosme Euloxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosme Euloxu made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Dante Argi sent off a good shot on target. If Ezequiel Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermengildo Pio made a kick off. When Gilberto Baleren came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Frías FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Baleren couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes in the game, Hermengildo Pio dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Paolo Estevez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidro Ruy struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Cosme Euloxu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maco. Paolo Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Saul Pirro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermengildo Pio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Pirro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Maco's goalkeeper Saul Pirro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Gurutz. After having played for 71 minutes, Isidro Ruy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Ruy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dante Argi came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Maco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Argi couldn't finish the play. When Gilberto Baleren came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Frías FC fans jumped to their feet. Gilberto Baleren charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dante Argi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosme Euloxu having to make a save. Hermengildo Pio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Frías FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
