Benedicto Mosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Isaias Eguen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wally Ananasov charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wally Ananasov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Los Pibes del Congreso's Wally Ananasov got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Matias Bernard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danilo Hermelando. Botafogo FR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matias Bernard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cayetano Moise took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo Hermelando. Danilo Hermelando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Moise in the 22nd minute of play forced Botafogo FR's goalkeeper Danilo Hermelando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Bernard kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 28th minute Matias Bernard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Hermelando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Rosendo Savier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Hermelando came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Pibes del Congreso's Matias Bernard. But to his dismay, Matias Bernard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 41 minutes into the game, Los Pibes del Congreso's Matias Bernard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Hermelando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matias Bernard made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Botafogo FR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Nesor to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bernard in the 61st minute of play forced Botafogo FR's goalkeeper Danilo Hermelando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Pibes del Congreso's Matias Bernard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Danilo Hermelando. That made the score 0-6 after 63 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bernard in the 66th minute of play forced Botafogo FR's goalkeeper Danilo Hermelando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Hermelando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Moise, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes Los Pibes del Congreso got a freekick which was hit by Christian Salamon. Cayetano Moise kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hechter Lastras during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Los Pibes del Congreso's Hechter Lastras got a free kick in the 84th minute. Botafogo FR's Danilo Hermelando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Botafogo FR from getting a goal against them. Danilo Hermelando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Moise in the 94th minute of play. Los Pibes del Congreso were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Botafogo FR's much stronger midfield.
