Omar Balasi made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Deportivo Santa Gilda's Esteban Maura. Carlos Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Aldo Cerilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, C.A Huracan's Mauricio Hustaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luciano Gustau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of C.A Huracan booed when Deportivo Santa Gilda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Gabrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Cerilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Ayala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Santa Gilda's Siro Isauro got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, C.A Huracan's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Ayala came free, but Aldo Cerilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Pablo Txema in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C.A Huracan's Arsenio Bras. Luciano Gustau succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 46th playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Ayala was the one to do the kick off. Hermengildo Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute of the match, Carlos Ayala got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aldo Cerilo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luciano Gustau scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lino Mazza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hermengildo Cordario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Hermengildo Cordario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lino Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. C.A Huracan's Luciano Gustau got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C.A Huracan's attentive Omar Balasi managed to snatch the ball when Esteban Maura made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, Deportivo Santa Gilda's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Gustau came free, but Lino Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Elpidio Gabrio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Santa Gilda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A Huracan the free kick. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Santa Gilda's Elpidio Gabrio got a free kick in the 94th minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Luciano Gustau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Huracan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Gustau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the C.A Huracan players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
