Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Ryan Giggs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Tipi was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Locaio during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lázaro Oihan placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Ryan Giggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ryan Giggs in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Tipi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romeo Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Carlos Tipi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Froilan Ezkerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ryan Giggs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Tipi having to make a save. If Leon Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Carlos Tipi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Era hasta los 40's Carlos Tipi got control of the ball when Ryan Giggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ryan Giggs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Tipi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leon Opilano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Tipi having to make a save. Ryan Giggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Era hasta los 40's Carlos Tipi got control of the ball when Ryan Giggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ryan Giggs in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Tipi saved Era hasta los 40 from getting behind. After 79 played minutes El Dragón del Sur got a freekick which was hit by Candido Urre. When Anier Cloyo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Era hasta los 40 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Cloyo couldn't finish the play. The Era hasta los 40 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. El Dragón del Sur were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
