After 38 minutes, Mauricio Frederico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metal Fútbol Club and the Club Deportivo El Sueño players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Metal Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Frederico. Alejandro Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Lixandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A collision led to Metal Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Evaristo Montrel hit a great ball. Gogo Abalos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustaquio Lixandro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gogo Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rigoberto Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubaldo Raymon's late challenge caught a Club Deportivo El Sueño's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Fiz came out of the goal and Braulio Ellande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd match minute, Club Deportivo El Sueño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Lizer to maneuver through the defense. Eustaquio Lixandro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Metal Fútbol Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 68th minute, Eustaquio Lixandro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metal Fútbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Club Deportivo El Sueño booed when Metal Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position.
