With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Fiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atilano Lertxun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rigoberto Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rigoberto Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Inautzi in the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Metal Fútbol Club's zone, Atilano Lertxun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Fiz came out of the goal and Atilano Lertxun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vicente Inautzi sped through Metal Fútbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rigoberto Fiz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Frederico got free with Edelmiro Iruinea in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Atilano Lertxun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reynaldo Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Aristides Poncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The wind increased when Eustaquio Lixandro made the kick off in the second half. Edelmiro Iruinea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Frederico in the 53rd minute of play. Metal Fútbol Club's Rigoberto Fiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Inautzi in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the PaGas FC defense, Ubaldo Raymon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edelmiro Iruinea. The PaGas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Iruinea should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Raymon during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Metal Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Raymon. The audience was convinced that Vicente Inautzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Fiz was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Raymon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Metal Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Santxol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Mauricio Frederico notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of PaGas FC's Edelmiro Iruinea. Edelmiro Iruinea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Vicente Inautzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Fiz was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Reynaldo Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th minute of the match, Vicente Inautzi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rigoberto Fiz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Metal Fútbol Club could leave the field as winners, despite PaGas FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
