The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Ermano got free with Flavio Aztore in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, Real Barril's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Oxel came free, but Felipe Damario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes Real Barril got a freekick which was hit by German Hermon. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Dantel to make the kick off. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Barril's goalkeeper Felipe Damario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aldo Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched JUVENTUD DE MADARIAGA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
