The audience thought a goal was coming when Clodoveo Mikeldi got free with Alejandro Bernard in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jeronimo Quintana fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo El Sueño's protests and gave Jeronimo Quintana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Club Deportivo El Sueño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Quintana to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Braulio Ellande sped through Pontevedra F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hernan Librado. After 23 played minutes Pontevedra F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Mikeldi. When Gogo Abalos came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Club Deportivo El Sueño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Abalos couldn't finish the play. Hernan Librado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Ellande in the 25th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Pontevedra F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Argina. Gogo Abalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Librado having to interfere. Jeronimo Quintana scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernan Librado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Club Deportivo El Sueño booed when Pontevedra F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Mikeldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Bernard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clodoveo Mikeldi in the 36th minute. Braulio Ellande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeronimo Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hernan Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Sergi kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Club Deportivo El Sueño were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clodoveo Mikeldi made a kick off. Braulio Ellande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Librado having to interfere. In the 53rdth minute of the game Eugenio Mitxel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontevedra F.C.'s Hernan Librado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Pontevedra F.C.'s Hernan Librado got control of the ball when Gogo Abalos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alejandro Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Sergi, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pontevedra F.C.'s zone, Eugenio Mitxel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Librado came out of the goal and Eugenio Mitxel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejandro Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Mikeldi in the 97th minute of play forced Club Deportivo El Sueño's goalkeeper Alejandro Bernard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Club Deportivo El Sueño left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pontevedra F.C..
