The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teodosio Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Savier in the 4th minute of play. Ivan Paz might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodosio Lalla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Paz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th match minute, Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Restu to maneuver through the defense. Silvano Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Restu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Claudio Guzman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Paz in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodosio Lalla saved Libertad from getting behind. Arturo Sotero hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Silvano Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudio Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Restu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Rigoberto Arano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Libertad getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Felipe Quintin hit a great ball. If Dario Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodosio Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Telesforo in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Ignacio Urbes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espadas De Luz FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Telesforo in the 44th minute of play forced Libertad's goalkeeper Teodosio Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgilio Restu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Silvano Telesforo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Libertad's Teodosio Lalla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Paz in the 57th minute of play forced Libertad's goalkeeper Teodosio Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodosio Lalla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvano Telesforo went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Silvano Telesforo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espadas De Luz FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Ignacio Urbes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Teodosio Lalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Espadas De Luz FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Mazuste. In the 70th minute, Virgilio Restu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 minutes of play, Espadas De Luz FC's Ignacio Urbes made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodosio Lalla was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Libertad's zone, Ivan Paz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Lalla came out of the goal and Ivan Paz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the game, Remigio Ishmael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Libertad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espadas De Luz FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Libertad's Remigio Ishmael got a free kick in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Espadas De Luz FC's Isidoro Savier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodosio Lalla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Espadas De Luz FC booed when Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Arano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Ivan Paz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Teodosio Lalla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Espadas De Luz FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
