After a rather tough play, Piñalitos's Isidoro Baudelio got a free kick in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Artizar in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Adrio saved Piñalitos from getting behind. Amadeo Adrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Artizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Assmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Artizar to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Piñalitos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Justo Maureo who took care of the corner kick. In the 53rd match minute, Racing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Michael to maneuver through the defense.
