Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Octavio Gonzales made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute Alonzo Ortle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeronimo Shepherd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Escriña AFC's zone, Alonzo Ortle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Matxin came out of the goal and Alonzo Ortle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 minutes of play, Escriña AFC's Benedicto Remicio made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixto Domiku was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeronimo Shepherd in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Matxin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sixto Domiku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Gonzales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Jeronimo Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorio Tanio struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Marcial Matxin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pepe Sand 9 FC. When Pepe Sand 9 FC's Victorio Tanio in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 42 minutes, Jeronimo Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepe Sand 9 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Shepherd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeronimo Shepherd struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Marcial Matxin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pepe Sand 9 FC. Victorio Tanio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeronimo Shepherd made a kick off. Isaac Mincho kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. A hard shot 57 in the game by Jeronimo Shepherd from a close distance when the talented Marcial Matxin managed to make a qualified save. Escriña AFC's players were relieved. When Victorio Tanio came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Pepe Sand 9 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Tanio couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes, Benedicto Remicio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escriña AFC and the Pepe Sand 9 FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jacobo Sandalio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pepe Sand 9 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Sandalio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Matxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pepe Sand 9 FC's Sixto Domiku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Monte in the 70th minute of play. The long shot by Everardo Elorri in the 82nd minute really tested Marcial Matxin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Octavio Gonzales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
