Marciano Efren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Pereyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Uriel Aznaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bonifacio Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marciano Efren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Ederono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Esteco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Aznaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Uriel Aznaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bonifacio Burni. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Pereyra in the 20th minute of play forced Esteco's goalkeeper Marciano Efren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Eguntsenti kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mendiolaza fc's Arturo Fidencio got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Mendiolaza fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Rey to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Fanuco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Esteco's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 31st minute Uriel Aznaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Efren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Ederono in the 36th minute of the match. Geronimo Pereyra took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marciano Efren. Marciano Efren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 45th minute Uriel Aznaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Esteco's Oscar Toli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bonifacio Burni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mendiolaza fc's Bonifacio Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Eguntsenti in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geronimo Pereyra made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Geronimo Pereyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Efren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Esteco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Aznaro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mendiolaza fc booed when Esteco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Eguntsenti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Isidoro Vedillo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marciano Efren skillfully saved the ball. When Geronimo Pereyra came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Mendiolaza fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Pereyra couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the game, Zeledon Otsando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esteco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mendiolaza fc the free kick. Zeledon Otsando hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 minutes of play, Esteco's Uriel Aznaro made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bonifacio Burni was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Esteco's Zeledon Otsando got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 96 played minutes Mendiolaza fc got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Vimaro. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mendiolaza fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esteco.
