The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Beefeater Club getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Americo Garoa hit a great ball. Benedicto Iago's late challenge caught a Liniers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedicto Iago helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Beefeater Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Liniers:s goal. Beefeater Club's Americo Garoa got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beefeater Club's Benedicto Iago managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anier Tiadoro in the 20 minute of the game. In the 22nd minute, Amancio Diegotxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cayetano Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Americo Garoa sent off a good shot on target. Beefeater Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Americo Garoa in the 26th minute. After taking down the ball on Beefeater Club's corner Americo Garoa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cayetano Alvarez quite easily take care of the ball. In the 28th minute, Filiberto Oriol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Americo Garoa struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Cayetano Alvarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beefeater Club. 33 minutes into the match, Beefeater Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Lain came free, but Teodosio Jenaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Abascal's late challenge caught a Liniers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Abascal helped the player get up and apologised. Roberto Abascal kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When Godfredo Rodas fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liniers's protests and gave Godfredo Rodas a yellow card for diving instead. Beefeater Club's Ceferino Dominix was substituted for Martin Elazar. Godfredo Rodas hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Gaspar Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. During the 42nd minute of the match Roberto Abascal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Roberto Abascal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Americo Garoa to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Gaspar Lain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beefeater Club's Teodosio Jenaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodosio Jenaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Lain in the 60th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Beefeater Club got a freekick which was hit by Justo Argider. Godfredo Rodas hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Americo Garoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beefeater Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Garoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaspar Lain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Teodosio Jenaro made a huge save. Ceferino Dominix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cayetano Alvarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Teodosio Jenaro managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Liniers's Gaspar Lain fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cayetano Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Qwinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Jenaro made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Gaspar Lain sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Lain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodosio Jenaro was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Liniers were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Beefeater Club's much stronger midfield.
