The supporters of Salto booed when Esteco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Fanuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Flavio Fanuco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esteco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Fanuco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uriel Aznaro was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Salto got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Lauaxeta. In the 53rd match minute, Salto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Vallgren to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Rene Fe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marciano Efren was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Rene Fe's late challenge caught a Esteco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Fe helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Esteco booed when Salto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Fe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andreas Vallgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Fe in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marciano Efren saved Esteco from getting behind. Rene Fe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Efren having to interfere. There was no doubt that Salto were the better team. Salto's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
