The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martin Dei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Orkatz in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Saavedra getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Silvestre Nayely hit a great ball. Joel Fortun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Martin Dei made a huge save. Ruben Orkatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel Millrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Donio in the 13th minute of play. Ezequiel Millrick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baltasar Papo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Joel Fortun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Dei having to interfere. CAI's Ezequiel Millrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Papo in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Rene Quintyn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ezequiel Millrick showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, CAI's Erubiel Ursino got a free kick in the 31st minute. Joel Fortun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Saavedra's Martin Dei got control of the ball when Joel Fortun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvestre Nayely charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvestre Nayely the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silvestre Nayely hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Ruben Orkatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baltasar Papo made a kick off. Joel Fortun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruben Orkatz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Saavedra's Martin Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Orkatz in the 58th minute of play. CAI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonathan Lucian in the 61st minute. Romulo Donio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. CAI's Joel Fortun got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Dei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruben Orkatz's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Joel Fortun took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Dei. Martin Dei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ruben Orkatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Joel Fortun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Dei was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. CAI's Ruben Orkatz got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Fortun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Dei having to make a save. Baltasar Papo charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltasar Papo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joel Fortun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Martin Dei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Fortun in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Dei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruben Orkatz struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Martin Dei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAI. There was no doubt that CAI were the better team. CAI's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
