The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teodosio Kiliz made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Vicente Tomi sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Pacifico to make the kick off. Vicente Tomi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Azevedo in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodosio Kiliz saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. Luciano Roderigo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Teodosio Kiliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Tomi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Beltza hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Angels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Luciano Roderigo's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
