In the 6th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Luar to maneuver through the defense. Nicanor Blai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Fernado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicanor Blai in the 10th minute. When Hector Argider came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Sugaritas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Argider couldn't finish the play. After 15 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Luar. After 17 played minutes Sugaritas FC got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Valerio. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, David Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but David Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Gallardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabio Afonso hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute Aristides Selatse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Fernado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Blai in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Fernado saved Racing Club from getting behind. After 32 minutes, Valentin Luar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Sugaritas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Valentin Luar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Artemio Galsino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicanor Blai in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Humberto Fernado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 42nd minute, Domingo Colas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Nicanor Blai made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Afonso came free, but Humberto Fernado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Nicanor Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Fernado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Fabio Afonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Fernado. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Fernado should have stopped the shot. After 68 played minutes Sugaritas FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Blai. Ciro Onofre hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Valentin Luar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Humberto Fernado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lázaro Montel hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Aristides Selatse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Fernado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Sugaritas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Afonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sugaritas FC fully deserved thier win.
