Silvano Thomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Brais in the 9th minute of play. Robustiano Brais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind academia fc's goalkeeper Justino Erasto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matias Goizeder hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Robustiano Brais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvano Thomas was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Naike in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justino Erasto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severo Naike to make the kick off. Nestor Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Silvano Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justino Erasto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Nestor Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of academia fc booed when Sauce FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Naike didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Brais was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 91 minutes into the match, Nestor Veremundo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silvano Thomas, 0-1. academia fc played a much better game than Sauce FC and deserved their victory. The Sauce FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
