But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Jon couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the match, Tomas Piarres notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Parque Chas FC's Rodolfo Guifre. Rodolfo Guifre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Silvanito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Anibal Vedillo made a huge save. 36 minutes into the game, Libertad Sporting Club's Tomas Piarres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Guifre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Rodolfo Guifre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Piarres, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Tomas Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Guifre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Libertad Sporting Club's Anibal Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Iztal in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 75th minute, Filomeno Jon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anibal Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Iztal, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
