Aureliano Abella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoltán Borbély, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Fernan Alfonso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliano Abella was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 10th match minute, C.A. Sportivo Sabalero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Eduino to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the game, Florencio Henry landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amador Eduino during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. C.A.Almafuerte made a substitution. Samuel Brion replaced Florencio Henry. In the 19th minute, Amador Eduino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Eleder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Manuelo having to interfere. Samuel Brion kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Aureliano Abella made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Fernan Alfonso sent off a good shot on target. C.A.Almafuerte's Erasmo Manuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Rubio in the 31st minute of play. Feliciano Lore kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Rubio to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, C.A. Sportivo Sabalero's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Borbély came free, but Aureliano Abella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to C.A.Almafuerte getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Samuel Brion hit a great ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Edgard Rubio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Sportivo Sabalero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Rubio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. C.A. Sportivo Sabalero's Aureliano Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoltán Borbély in the 64th minute of play. Edgard Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Edgard Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Manuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to C.A. Sportivo Sabalero getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Feliberto Marino hit a great ball. Aureliano Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoltán Borbély in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, C.A. Sportivo Sabalero's Edgard Rubio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Zoltán Borbély had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. C.A.Almafuerte's Zoltán Borbély got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Zoltán Borbély fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.Almafuerte's protests and gave Zoltán Borbély a yellow card for diving instead. Despite being the better team, C.A.Almafuerte failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
