The supporters of Chorrillos FC- OFF booed when Club Atlético River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Etor didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Laurendi in the 14th minute of play forced Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Teodoro Paublo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Cristo Etor put in a rough tackle. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atlético River Plate! In the 29th match minute, Chorrillos FC- OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Guipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chorrillos FC- OFF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reynaldo Astudillo was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético River Plate's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Reynaldo Astudillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Melquiades Benet quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Placido Jacindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Melquiades Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Baltasar Gil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Benet was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Club Atlético River Plate's Roque Sauveur got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Placido Jacindo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Club Atlético River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Jacindo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silverio Taurino got free with Teodoro Paublo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Silverio Taurino made the kick off in the second half. Silverio Taurino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Lucas Ibañez hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Gabriel Laurendi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chorrillos FC- OFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Laurendi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Paublo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atlético River Plate's Pastor Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Placido Jacindo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Silverio Taurino struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Teodoro Paublo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chorrillos FC- OFF. Baltasar Gil's late challenge caught a Chorrillos FC- OFF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Gil helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes Club Atlético River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Gil. Roque Sauveur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute Silverio Taurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Paublo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Benet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Sauveur in the 90th minute of play. Melquiades Benet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Jacindo in the 96th minute. Club Atlético River Plate were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
