LosRanaPola's Maximo Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nivaldo Seixas in the 10th minute of play. When Lions's Diego Pueblo in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LosRanaPola's goalie prevented a goal. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sixto Raebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Vela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Garrido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to LosRanaPola getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Albano Lixandro hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Sonny Estes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sonny Estes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximo Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Garrido in the 36th minute of play. Baldomero Aimar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximo Vela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, LosRanaPola's Vladimiro Polentzi got a free kick in the 38th minute. Lions's Cuarto Imperiale got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, LosRanaPola's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Garrido came free, but Maximo Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Sonny Estes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Maximo Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute Marco Boniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Harriet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to LosRanaPola getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vladimiro Polentzi hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Leandro Garrido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LosRanaPola the free kick. After 68 played minutes Lions got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Garrido. The supporters of LosRanaPola booed when Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cuarto Imperiale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Harriet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Lixandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Cuarto Imperiales short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Maximo Vela to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 80 minutes into the match, Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Niguel came free, but Feliberto Harriet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Vela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sonny Estes in the 85th minute. A collision led to Lions getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Baldomero Aimar hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lions's zone, Marcelino Niguel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliberto Harriet came out of the goal and Marcelino Niguel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
