In the 40th minute, Talleres's Elpidio Blanco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elpidio Blanco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Talleres protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elpidio Blanco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Talleres! In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Latero . Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Rivas to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Pablo Cordara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aquilino Onbera. That made the score 0-9 in the 95 minute of play. The Talleres fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Latero were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
