Luisito Nastasio might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Vedillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisito Nastasio ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Rojelio in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Vedillo saved Changuito FC from getting behind. In the 14th match minute, Changuito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Dantae to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Vinicio Damario put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Changuito FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Vinicio Damario hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Aquiles Kaxen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roosevelt's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquiles Kaxen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Vedillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29thth minute of the game Alberto Rojelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Changuito FC's Humberto Vedillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Changuito FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Angelino Gergori hit a great ball. Changuito FC's Pedro Dantae quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abelardo Dino, made in the 35th minute of the game. When Pedro Dantae came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Changuito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Dantae couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Alberto Rojelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Vedillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Nerio made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Aquilino Tercero sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 52 played minutes Roosevelt got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Nastasio. 59 minutes into the game, Luisito Nastasio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roosevelt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Changuito FC the free kick. The supporters of Changuito FC booed when Roosevelt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Nastasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Rojelio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Humberto Vedillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Alberto Rojelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernabe Goren got free with Humberto Vedillo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 96 played minutes Roosevelt got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Kaxen. In the 97th minute of the match Santiago Ostots shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Nerio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roosevelt were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
