The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredo Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Cebrian having to interfere. When Sebastian Cordairo came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Elenri fulbo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Cordairo couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Báez defense, Zacarias Foro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Darien. The Báez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Darien should have stopped the shot. Leonides Cebrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verner Klemensson in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Klemensson in the 19th minute of play forced Elenri fulbo's goalkeeper Leonides Cebrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Patrido's late challenge caught a Báez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Patrido helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Rafael Patrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Elenri fulbo's Eulalio Dolfo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Leonides Cebrian made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Saul Senen sent off a good shot on target. After 24 played minutes Elenri fulbo got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Patrido. When Alfredo Claus came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Báez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Claus couldn't finish the play. Elenri fulbo's Leonides Cebrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verner Klemensson in the 27th minute of play. Fernando Darien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Pes in the 30th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celestino Pes in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Darien saved Báez from getting behind. Leonides Cebrian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Claus in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Elenri fulbo's Leonides Cebrian got control of the ball when Alfredo Claus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonides Cebrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Dei, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Rafael Patrido got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Rafael Patrido hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Elenri fulbo's goalkeeper Leonides Cebrian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Verner Klemensson. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Verner Klemensson to strike the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Cordairo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Verner Klemensson made a precise shot to the right of Leonides Cebrian. Elenri fulbo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Báez's Rogelio Dei got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Klemensson in the 64th minute of play forced Elenri fulbo's goalkeeper Leonides Cebrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogelio Dei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Leonides Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Verner Klemensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Verner Klemensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Báez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 77th match minute, Báez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Senen to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Claus hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Verner Klemensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elenri fulbo's Leonides Cebrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verner Klemensson in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Báez booed when Elenri fulbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Foro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Cebrian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Verner Klemensson's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Elenri fulbo's Leonides Cebrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Senen in the 89th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Báez's Verner Klemensson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Cebrian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elenri fulbo's Leonides Cebrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verner Klemensson in the 95th minute of play. Báez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
