An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Jenaro in the 12th minute of play forced Vizcarra's goalkeeper Cecilio Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Deportivo Merlo booed when Vizcarra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match, Fernan Cesario got a very nice opportunity to score, but Albano Jobo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 58th minute, Godofredo Errolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 minutes, Paulo Maurino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Merlo and the Vizcarra players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulo Maurino kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernan Cesario kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albano Jobo. That made the score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. When Vizcarra's Fernan Cesario in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Merlo's goalie prevented a goal. Armando Jenaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Armando Jenaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cecilio Colas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 88 minutes into the game, Vizcarra's Alberto Emenon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albano Jobo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Vizcarra's Epifanio Abascal was substituted for Elpidio Pietro. Deportivo Merlo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
