The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximino Aurken got free with Gerardo Chico in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, lAnguila's Edgard Maria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ledesma FC's Gerardo Chico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Maria in the 14th minute of play. With an all-out effort, lAnguila's Gerardo Chico threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgard Maria, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Gerardo Chico successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hernan Benet took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pablo Niguel. Pablo Niguel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 28 minutes into the match, Ledesma FC's Pedro Quirze sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Niguel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ledesma FC's Amancio Kinsen got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Gabriel Asur scored 2-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerardo Chico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Asur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Gerardo Chico made a huge save. Pedro Quirze took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pablo Niguel. Pablo Niguel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 46th minute of the match, Daniel Baudelio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gerardo Chico saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 47 minutes into the match, lAnguila's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Benet came free, but Pablo Niguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Quirze to make the kick off. Gerardo Chico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Asur, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Pastor Astigar kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Maximino Aurken took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerardo Chico. Gerardo Chico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. When Rene Berart fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored lAnguila's protests and gave Rene Berart a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for lAnguila! After some careless play in the Ledesma FC defense, Maximino Aurken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Chico. The Ledesma FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Chico should have stopped the shot. If Hernan Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, lAnguila's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Quirze came free, but Pablo Niguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ledesma FC's Gerardo Chico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Maria in the 76th minute of play. If Hernan Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the game, one of Ledesma FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 100th minute there was a penalty for lAnguila. Anastasio Thomas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gerardo Chico. 6-4. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. lAnguila fully deserved thier win.
