With his leg Rigoberto Gelmiro managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Mangiaterra UTD's Ata Oykan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute, Nicanor Ioritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute of the match, Urbano Millano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rigoberto Gelmiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 40 minutes, Ata Oykan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mangiaterra UTD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ata Oykan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Duendes Verdes's Rigoberto Gelmiro got control of the ball when Ata Oykan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
