With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateusz Soliwoda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C A colon were furious when Acácio de Sena was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 23rd minute, one of C A colon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C A colon. With an all-out effort, Independiente FC Piñeyro's Severo Ciceron threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lucio Gonsalve, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 31 minutes, Amado Guzman made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Independiente FC Piñeyro's Mateusz Soliwoda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
