When Fausto Guter fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nueva Chicago's protests and gave Fausto Guter a yellow card for diving instead. Victoriano Blasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Guzman in the 8th minute of the match. Olof Vennerdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Blasco having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, C A colon's Benicio Marin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victoriano Blasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fausto Guter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Severo Ciceron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in C A colon's zone, Edelmiro Bertran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Ciceron came out of the goal and Edelmiro Bertran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Nueva Chicago's Teodoro Lamberto got a free kick in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Mino in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severo Ciceron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Amado Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Amado Guzman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Blasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Amado Guzman made a precise shot to the right of Victoriano Blasco. Nueva Chicago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Mino to make the kick off. Victoriano Blasco came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by C A colon's Amado Guzman. But to his dismay, Amado Guzman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nueva Chicago's Victoriano Blasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Marin in the 59th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Evaristo Belmiro rounded Nueva Chicago's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Acácio de Sena's late challenge caught a Nueva Chicago's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Acácio de Sena helped the player get up and apologised. Acácio de Sena hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Claudio Lizar fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nueva Chicago's protests and gave Claudio Lizar a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Lizar. The supporters of C A colon booed when Nueva Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Lizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Guzman in the 78th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Victoriano Blasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Bertran hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Nueva Chicago defense, Amado Guzman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Blasco. The Nueva Chicago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Blasco should have stopped the shot. If Ciro Mino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Nueva Chicago supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C A colon's performance. The match ended with a win for C A colon.
