The audience was convinced that Omar Ebardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Estevez was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. A collision led to Sovieticos F.C getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marcelino Sasoin hit a great ball. Ernesto Nalo took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualterio Astigar. Gualterio Astigar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Loren Goycoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gualterio Astigar. DEPORTIVO EL RU F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loren Goycoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Gualterio Astigar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albano Garoa went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Honorato Perico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Nalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sovieticos F.C booed when DEPORTIVO EL RU F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Nalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 played minutes DEPORTIVO EL RU F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Abad. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Nalo to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Di Stéfano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Ernesto Nalo put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gualterio Astigar. Sovieticos F.C's Albano Garoa got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Ernesto Nalo notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of DEPORTIVO EL RU F.C.'s Gualterio Astigar. Gualterio Astigar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albano Garoa might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualterio Astigar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albano Garoa ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernesto Nalo took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualterio Astigar. Gualterio Astigar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Sovieticos F.C's Ernesto Nalo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vicente Montrell hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Ernesto Nalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Nalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Astigar was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Gualterio Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Nalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sovieticos F.C had played much better football throughout.
