In the 13th minute, Rodrigo Etxahun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Benigno Victoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Aresti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Erruki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorato Elazar went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Honorato Elazar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arnaldo Erruki, passed just outside the right post. Arnaldo Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Soin in the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zelaya AFC's zone, Honorato Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Erruki came out of the goal and Honorato Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justino Ascencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arnaldo Erruki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match, Honorato Elazar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnaldo Erruki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Honorato Elazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Erruki having to interfere. Justino Ascencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Zelaya AFC's Ruperto Beturian got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Zelaya AFC's Arnaldo Erruki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Elazar in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Justino Ascencio rounded Zelaya AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benigno Victoro was the one to do the kick off. Rodrigo Etxahun charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Etxahun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rodrigo Etxahun kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Alvaro Aresti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Victoro went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Arnaldo Erruki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justino Ascencio went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. If Honorato Elazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Jenaro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Honorato Elazar notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Zelaya AFC's Arnaldo Erruki. Arnaldo Erruki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnaldo Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Elazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd match minute, Zelaya AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Beturian to maneuver through the defense. When Ruperto Beturian came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Zelaya AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Beturian couldn't finish the play. Zelaya AFC's Arnaldo Erruki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Elazar in the 78th minute of play. If Honorato Elazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Ascencio in the 83rd minute of play forced Zelaya AFC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Erruki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Ascencio scored 6-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Erruki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th match minute, Atahona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Etxahun to maneuver through the defense. Ruperto Beturian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Alvaro Aresti made a huge save. Atahona FC's Alvaro Aresti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Beturian in the 91st minute of play. Justino Ascencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There was no doubt that Atahona FC were the better team. Atahona FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
