The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Evaristo Tipi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Endura Arreguia having to interfere. La Curtiembre FC's Haroldo Nahia got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When La Curtiembre FC's Armando Ranolfo in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Armando Ranolfo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristobal Marz came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Ranolfo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Licerio to make the kick off. 64 minutes into the game, Armando Ranolfo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Curtiembre FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Colon the free kick. In the 64th minute, Armando Ranolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Evaristo Tipi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Colon's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Tipi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Endura Arreguia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When La Curtiembre FC's Haroldo Nahia in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. La Curtiembre FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Tipi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 85thth minute of the game Armando Ranolfo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Colon's Cristobal Marz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armando Ranolfo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristobal Marz. Cristobal Marz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Haroldo Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Curtiembre FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
