In the 73rd minute, Vélez's Jorge Adán ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basilio Alonso. Basilio Alonso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Prudencio Mano kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Otto Bemberg's goalkeeper Basilio Alonso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Teodor. 85 minutes into the game, Jorge Adán cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Basilio Alonso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rigoberto Teodors short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Basilio Alonso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Teodor got free with Basilio Alonso in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Basilio Alonso came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vélez's Aquiles Etxahun. But to his dismay, Aquiles Etxahun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vélez eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
