Vélez's Rigoberto Teodor got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. But to his dismay, Aureliano Bidari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Inocencio Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Bidari in the 45th minute of the match. Aureliano Bidari charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aureliano Bidari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vélez getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Aureliano Bidari hit a great ball. In the 49th minute of the match Eugenio Goito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldinho da Rocha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

After 57 minutes, Eugenio Goito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tolkien Fútbol Club and the Vélez players grew even worse after the yellow card. During the 59th minute of the match Eugenio Goito completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eugenio Goito a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 59 played minutes Tolkien Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Goito. Tolkien Fútbol Club's Inocencio Paz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Teodor in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Primitivo Demario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inocencio Paz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauricio Duardo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Inocencio Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Bidari in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Teodor in the 81st minute of play forced Tolkien Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Inocencio Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes of play, Vélez's Rigoberto Teodor made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inocencio Paz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 94 minutes into the match, Vélez's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Llorenc came free, but Ronaldinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Ariel Evarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Rocio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Inocencio Paz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vélez were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
