The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Le Petard got a freekick which was hit by Saul Beturian. Celso Atarrabi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Alfajor! When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, Le Petard's Maximo Leocadio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gonzalo Rutenio. When Arnulfo Acevedo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Le Petard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Acevedo couldn't finish the play. Cachari Estany hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Gonzalo Rutenio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Acevedo in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Deportivo Alfajor's Gonzalo Rutenio got control of the ball when Florentino Guter tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes in the game, Fabio Betadur fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gonzalo Rutenio having to interfere. Wlodzimierz Biegun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lino Fonda. Le Petard's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Le Petard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Guter to maneuver through the defense. Lino Fonda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Ospetsu in the 33rd minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Higinio Ospetsu in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 43rd minute of the match, Alfonso Sansone tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gonzalo Rutenio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 47 minutes into the match, Deportivo Alfajor's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Sansone came free, but Gonzalo Rutenio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

If Florentino Guter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Alfajor's Gonzalo Rutenio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Marcones in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute Celso Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Rutenio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Matxin made in the 71st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Arnulfo Acevedo however managed to control. Gonzalo Rutenio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Sansone in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Deportivo Alfajor's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Betadur came free, but Gonzalo Rutenio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Wlodzimierz Biegun sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Lino Fonda threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Wlodzimierz Biegun this time. Higinio Ospetsu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lino Fonda came out and tried to block the shot, but Higinio Ospetsu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 82nd minute. Lino Fonda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Polo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The supporters of Le Petard booed when Deportivo Alfajor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Sendoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute Uriel Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Rutenio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Le Petard were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
