If Emilio Pasqual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaime Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lino Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Manzella Fglia's Pascual Pancho got a free kick in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Manzella Fglia's zone, Emilio Pasqual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lino Rosario came out of the goal and Emilio Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximino Mitxaut hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The referee gave Chacarita a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gregorio Bonadona, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manzella Fglia's Lino Rosario. 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Jaime Veremundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manzella Fglia's Lino Rosario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Pasqual in the 39th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Manzella Fglia got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Oro. Emilio Pasqual fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Rosario having to interfere. Emilio Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Lino Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Chacarita were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Velasco in the 55th minute of play forced Chacarita's goalkeeper Jose Bazkoare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Pasqual in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Rosario saved Manzella Fglia from getting behind. In the 61st minute Nemesio Teofilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Bazkoare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Emiliano Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jaime Veremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Veremundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Rosario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Chacarita's Emiliano Caetano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emiliano Caetano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chacarita protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emiliano Caetano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chacarita fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! After 72 minutes, Godfredo Banegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita and the Manzella Fglia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Godfredo Banegas hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Fabian Oro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Chacarita's Jaime Veremundo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Rosario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximino Mitxaut hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th match minute, Chacarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Florin to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Lucio Velasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jose Bazkoare was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Jaime Veremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Veremundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
