To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Silvestre Arnas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Social Deportivo Santa Te the free kick. Silvestre Arnas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Nemesio Gelmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carmelo Ibañez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Chuse in the 86th minute of play. If Nemesio Gelmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Lorenzo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
