The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Gogo Napier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LakeShow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferrocarril Oeste the free kick. In the 8th minute of the match Jorge Pereyra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dan Bäckström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ferrocarril Oeste's Hernan Ladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Muc in the 10th minute of play. Janusz Indyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Ladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Napier in the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Muc dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hernan Ladio, 1-0. In the 42nd match minute, LakeShow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Napier to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 45 minutes, Jorge Pereyra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferrocarril Oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Pereyra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidro Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, Isidro Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Janusz Indyk made the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Mantzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Bäckström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clodoveo Muc hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, LakeShow's goalkeeper Dan Bäckström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Janusz Indyk. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Cristian Hitzeder sped through Ferrocarril Oeste's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hernan Ladio. Ramon Clemencin hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. LakeShow's Ladislao Gar got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LakeShow's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
