When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Raul Lartaun put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Laureano Florian. Morteros's Raul Lartaun got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Raul Lartaun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernan Avellaneda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Mannuel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Avellaneda, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Laureano Florian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Lartaun's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 29 minutes, Lorenzo Dabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the Morteros players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lorenzo Dabi hit a great ball. Laureano Florian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Lartaun went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Inocencio Mannuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Avellaneda in the 35th minute of the match. Laureano Florian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Lartaun in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of River Plate booed when Morteros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Montrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Morteros's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Avellaneda came free, but Inocencio Mannuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laureano Florian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Lartaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Lartaun in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laureano Florian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Jeremias Urtungo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Raul Lartaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morteros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Lartaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raul Lartaun was the one to do the kick off. If Jeremias Urtungo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Victorio Orain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morteros the free kick. After 53 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Orain. In the 54th minute, Morteros's Jeremias Urtungo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Laureano Florian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Urtungo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Inocencio Mannuel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Silban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Morteros defense, Fernan Avellaneda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inocencio Mannuel. The Morteros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inocencio Mannuel should have stopped the shot. Victor Senio hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Raul Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute, Jeremias Urtungo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremias Urtungo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Urtungo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Florian having to interfere. Victor Senio scored 3-4 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inocencio Mannuel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeremias Urtungo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Morteros's Jeremias Urtungo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Laureano Florian. That made the score 3-5 after 91 minutes of play. Morteros's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
