If Herminio Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Narciso Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eloy Resto F.C.'s protests and gave Narciso Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. Marcelino Inge took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chiquito Romero. Chiquito Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Eloy Resto F.C.'s Chiquito Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Inge in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conrado Fernanco to strike the kick off in the second half. Sportivo Camello's Ulises Firmo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sportivo Camello booed when Eloy Resto F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sportivo Camello had played much better football throughout.
